I once read “You are only one workout away from a good mood.”
I do agree with this. Being active really is a great ‘pick me up’. But, I also understand that sometimes our state of mind can make us feel exhausted or not motivated.
I have really started to appreciated just going for a walk outdoors and enjoying nature. But I do know that it took me a long time to get to the point where I felt comfortable enough to do that. And there are still those days where time, weather and my mood might prevent me from putting on my hiking shoes and getting out there.
On some of those days I really feel that it is still important to do something. Weather it be a Yoga or Pilates routine, or if i really want to move, I love a great HIIT workout.
There are so many great options online. Some have really helped me to enjoy improving my fitness whilst staying in the comfort of my home.
