I created this blog to share my journey as I work towards building a new, happy and healthy life after a 12 year struggle with mental illness.

Last year, with the help of my family, close friends and doctors and ultimately a stay in hospital, I was able to come off all of my medication. SInce then I decided to take ownership of my mental health and to turn my life around.

I am so proud to finally call myself ‘a work in progress.’

I am passionate about and enjoy maintaining a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, yoga and time outdoors. I believe that continuing on this path I can work towards a positive and stable future.

I am truly grateful for the life I have now, and my goal in creating this blog is to share my journey, so that hopefully I can help and inspire anybody struggling with their mental health or even somebody just having a ‘bad day.’
